5)Timken ring block tester principle

The Timken Friction Tester was developed by the Timken Company for testing lubricants and greases from 1935 to 1972. It is mainly used to test the bearing capacity of lubricating oil and distinguish the extreme pressure performance of lubricating oil. The extreme pressure performance is indicated by the OK value. A steel test ring is rotated by a test shaft on a steel test block, the test ring is mounted on a horizontal shaft, and the test block is mounted in the test block. The lubricating oil flows to the sample ring at a certain temperature, and the sample ring rotates by the spindle of the testing machine. The pressure between the test ring and the test block is subjected to pressure.
